EcoChic Commercial Photography
Posted by Paul in Commercial, For Website on January 29th, 2009
I loved this shoot. I haven’t laughed so much in ages. Now don’t get me wrong, I take my job very seriously (how else do you think we’ve built the reputation that we have?) but nonetheless, I just loved this shoot.
I’ve known Olivia for a quite a few years as we used to both work as consultants to the media industry up in London. She has also now left that world and is in the process of setting up a remarkable consultancy specialising in all things Eco along with her business partner Kate. And there’s a twist. It’s about being Eco and fashionable/sexy/cutting edge or whatever else at the same time. A consultancy that helps restaurants, hotels, property developers (and me for that matter) use environmentally sympathetic technologies and products without compromising on fantastic design values. Oh, and you might just save a some money into the bargain! If you’re interested (you should be) the website is at http://www.ecochicconsulting.com/ (though note – this site is under development and I am NOT responsible for the photos that are currently on there!)
So two unbelievably clever individuals who were extremely funny to work with. You can’t get much better than that!
Let us know what you think

Nigel and Vanessa’s Wedding Album
Posted by Paul in For Website on January 28th, 2009
I just thought I’d share this album with you. Lovely people, a gorgeous venue and a glorious day.
This is one very beautiful album that I thought would be nice to share as it sums up neatly what out wedding photography is all about. Imagine reliving your day with a nice, smooth glass of red wine (or whatever is your particular tipple of course), close friends or family and a rich black hand-made suede album full of memories like these. Just wonderful.
Enjoy!
Take care,
Cheers

New Look Website
Posted by Paul in For Website, News on January 26th, 2009
Well it’s that time of year for a spring clean don’t you think? And to that end, you will no doubt have noticed the new skin on our website. Not really a full redesign – we’ll maybe do that later in the year – but just a lick of paint and a whole new set of colours. Dulux would be proud.
We’ve also updated the slideshows and portfolios with some new images – and some new technology behind the scenes to help us keep things up to date and fresh as we go along. Nice.
If you notice any odd colours or images not looking right it’s probably just because your browser is caching some old stuff so refresh the page a few times and that should fix things for you. If not, then drop us a line and I’ll see what’s up.
Enjoy and, as always, I’d love to hear what you think!
Cheers

Ashley and Seán’s Engagement Photography Session
Posted by Paul in Engagement, For Website, Lifestyle on January 22nd, 2009
Well, Happy New Year! It’s good to be back in the driving seat. OK, so the blog hasn’t been so busy this month. Sorry about that. It’s just that we have been.
2009 has kicked off where 2008 left off (and by that I don’t mean singing Auld Lang Syne and meandering home at 3 in the morning) as we’re nice’n'busy. Photography is always a challenge at this time of year – though it is also one the most rewarding times to photograph with hoar frosts, steamy breath and that rich, raking sunlight that seems to reach into corners like an irrepressible liquid gold.
On the other hand, it can simply be cold, grey and wet. Oh, and unnecessarily windy.
Luckily with Ashley and Seán’s engagement shoot the weather was very much of the former variety. Two days after we’ve seen out 2008 and it’s just gorgeous. Admittedly, there was just a slight nip in the air! A slight nip that, unusually for this part of the world, had frozen the pond to a sufficient enough thickness for some brave soul (possibly someone as thick as the ice if you ask me) to idly wander into the middle and carve his name in the frost. With no water to play in, all that was left for the familiar Haddenham ducks to do was stand on the rock-solid surface and wonder why anyone would bother.
Ashley had specifically asked for the photography to use Haddenham as the backdrop which is, frankly, my idea of heaven. Listen, if it’s good enough for Midsommer Murders it’s good enough for me. This village is an amazing place to live in as a photographer as there are so many amazing nooks’n'crannies and stunning locations in which to capture images as well as being a fantastic community in which to live and bring up your family of course! Loving it.
Had an absolute ball for this, the first shoot of 2009. We spend a good chunk of the Christmas period sorting out the orders from earlier in the year that we don’t shoot quite so much and so it was with no small degree of excitement that I picked up my D3 and headed out with the guys. I wasn’t disappointed!
Ashley and Seán were really lovely to photograph (and pretty hardy as well given the sub-zero environment – must be the Irish blood!) and a) we had a good time and b) I think we’ve caught a beautiful selection of images that say everything about them. I do hope 2009 is going to carry on this vane. Going to be a good year!
Let us know what you think.
Cheers
