Well, a very Happy Mother’s Day to everyone! Well, to all the mothers anyway.
It’s a Sunday and the weather was good – so you know we’d be out shooting. Today was the first of our summer season wedding pre-shoots; we first met Claire and Kevin at a fantastic wedding we worked last year – Anna and Scott’s. Claire was the chief bridesmaid and had approached us (albeit possibly under the influence of party spirit) to say she’d like us to photograph her wedding once she’d set a date – and I’ve been excited about it ever since!
Once again, our village acted as a versatile backdrop – listen, if it’s good enough for Midsummer Murders, it’s good enough for me – and we just had a laugh messing around with the camera and capturing the two of them. Given that both Claire and Kevin are really good looking it made it an absolute breeze to get cool, striking images.
I’m a big fan of the commercial lifestyle photography that Boden, FatFace, White Stuff et al. are using at the moment and I think this comes across in the style of images we’ve caught here. I really like the informality of it coupled with that indefinable attraction you feel towards the photos. Very cool, very attractive, great fun!
I was already looking forward to capturing this wedding in May and now we’ve done the pre-shoot I’m even more excited!
Cheers
P.

We had an absolute ball despite Claire feeling very uncomfortable due to her pregnancy! Paul made her feel very relaxed and i think it shows in the photo’s.
